Eurovet Animal Health offers a wide range of veterinary medicines, which can be subdivided into different segments. We aim to provide the veterinarian with a variety of drugs to cover a large part of their daily practice. Our total range consists of a large number of products for pigs, chickens, cattle, horses and sheep and also for companion animals. Approximately 75% of the total range are medicines for use on food-producing animals.
Our injectable antibiotics and water soluble oral antibiotics such as tetracycline, tmp/s, macrolids and penicillins take pride of place. Examples of products in this segment include Soludox®, Octacilline® and Methoxasol-T®. Another segment where we are strong is anaesthetics/analgesics with successful products like Domidine® and Solacyl®.
A few years ago, we decided to concentrate on setting ourselves apart from the competition by developing a line of superior products. These are what we call STAR products, which deliver technical or economic added value for end users. Their superiority differs per product and can be evidenced by various qualities such as for example excellent water solubility and stability in drinking water, a wider range of target animals, an improved or expanded range of indications and shorter withdrawal times before slaughter or milking.
This strategy has clearly been a success: sales of the new STAR products already comprise 30% of our total turnover. This proves that our clients most definitely appreciate this type of product!
