Acquistition of ScanimalHealth Aps Denmark by Eurovet Animal Health
The Netherlands

Eurovet Animal Health announces it has come to an agreement with ScanimalHealth Aps Denmark to acquire 100% of the shares of the company as of 1st September 2010.

Eurovet Animal Health is a Dutch company marketing and selling veterinary pharmaceuticals in more than 50 countries worldwide. Major international brands of the organisation are: Cyclospray, Soludox, Octacillin, Forthyron, Sedator, Atipam, Domidine and Solacyl. Eurovet currently has its own sales organisations in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and the UK.

ScanimalHealth is a family owned company set up by Mr. Gunnar Pedersen 12 years ago. ScanimalHealth is specialized in the sales and marketing of veterinary medicinal products for both large and companion animals and is one of the strongest non-multinational veterinary firms active in Denmark.
The company represents major veterinary companies from Spain, France, Ireland, the Czech Republic, UK, Belgium, Sweden, Finland, and Slovenia. Major products distributed by ScanimalHealth are a.o. Clavubactin, Coliplus, Immobillon, Tetroxy Prolongatum, Kefamycin, Equibactin, Maximec, Karidox, Rheumocam, Aurovet, Plegicil, Etorfin, and Carprofen.

The addition of the Eurovet range of products to the existing ScanimalHealth portfolio creates an extremely strong new organisation with a leading position in the Danish generic plus market.

According to Mr Jan Jaap Korevaar, CEO of Eurovet Animal Health BV, the acquisition of ScanimalHealth provides an excellent opportunity and platform to improve Eurovet’s position in the Danish market, in line with Eurovet’s strategy to enforce its position in Northern Europe. The company plans to further strengthen the portfolio in Denmark by introducing several major new products for both food producing and companion animals. Investments in additional personnel needed to strengthen the team are planned in the coming months.

Mr. Gunnar Pedersen will serve in a transitional role pending the appointment of a new Country Manager for Eurovet in Denmark. Dr. Peter Alsemgeest, currently Manager of Eurovet-International, has been appointed as Interim Manager for Denmark.
