At Eurovet Animal Health we are realising more and more that operating in a sector that plays a part in animal health brings with it a serious environmental responsibility. And that responsibility is not limited to producing veterinary medicinal products that meet the stringent requirements of GMP - it extends to other aspects as well.

We ran the “PLATO” project in 2007-2008. The aim of this project was to find the best packaging for our water soluble powders. During the course of the project, a number of machines were evaluated and possible packaging materials tested.

We are aware of our responsibility to minimise our burden on the environment as well as keep environmental contamination to a minimum. Consequently, environmental considerations play a major role in our choice of packaging. We eventually decided on a light-weight bag that is relatively simple to recycle and which above all does not generate large quantities of waste.

This bag combines these environmentally friendly properties with qualities such as ease of use and ease of handling during the production process. With this bag, we have been able to create a solution that is ideal for both the environment and for us – a win-win situation entirely in accordance with the principles of People Planet Profit.
